Donald A. "Pizza" Pezzino

Donald A. “Pizza” Pezzino, 74, of Shillington, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022, in the Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, Pizza was a son of the late Samuel and Sara (Elmo) Pezzino. He was the husband of Nancy Ann (Shaffer) Pezzino. They would have celebrated their 40^th wedding anniversary on May 15^th.

A 1966 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, he was a member of St. John Baptist de LaSalle R.C. Church, Shillington. He had a successful career as a union roofer, retiring for Roofers Local 30, Phila after 31 years of service.

Pizza was a die-hard Steelers fan and got to see him team win the big one six times. He enjoyed playing golf and was a devoted Life member of Victor Emmanuel II, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time on the deck of his camper at Leisure Point Resort in Long Neck, DE…his happy place. He had the ability to bring a smile to your face as soon as you saw him, and he will be sadly missed. He will watch over all of us atop the many miles of roofline he so proudly installed.

In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by his son – Joe Anthony Pezzino, Gouglersville, and his sister – Donna M. wife of Ron Brown, Sinking Spring.
