Elmay V. “Ginny” Stahl, 96, of the Manor at Market Square, passed away February 3, 2021 in the Reading Hospital where she was a patient for several days. She formerly lived at 417 Chestnut St., Reading where she was raised.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Fred Garis & Ruth Swisher. She was the wife of the late George David Stahl, who passed away January 6, 1992. They celebrated 43 years of marriage prior to his passing.
Ginny was employed as a secretary at American Casualty Insurance. She had also been employed at Kelray Knitting Mills. In later years she worked as a cook at Mary’s Luncheonette and then at the Marvel Grill. She was a former member of Faith UCC, Reading. A 1941 graduate of Reading HS, she attended every class reunion, loved to dance and was known as “Ginny Twinkle Toes”. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking and was known for delicious family holiday dinners and her Christmas open house.
She is survived by her children – Debra Ann wife of Michael Ciraulo, Centre Twp., Scott A. husband of Ivette Stahl, Centre Twp., her grandchildren – Timothy Ciraulo, Kimberly wife of Brian McCue, Ashley, Katelin, Jacob, Natalie & Lucas Stahl, and her great grandchildren – Dai-Quan, Jaymya, Khalib, Adrian, Liam, George & Estella. She was predeceased by her son – David G. Stahl, who passed on August 19, 2020 and her brother Richard Culp.
