Eva E. (Ensinger) Remp, 99, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 18, 2020 in the hospice acre of Phoebe Berks Village.
She was the daughter of the late Fred C. and Earline M. (Yiengst) Ensinger. She was preceded in death by her 2 brothers – Frederick & Richard and her sisters – Joan Fisher & June Ensinger. She was married to the love of her life, Leroy F. Remp who passed away in 1977.
Eva was a 1977 graduate of the former Shillington High School in 1939 and was a loyal employee of the former Griffith & Bixler for 32 years as an Accounts Receivable Bookkeeper.
She was a resident of Phoebe Berks Village since December 1993. Eva loved gardening and spent most of her days in her flowerbeds. Her knowledge of plants was exceptional. She also loved photography and took many pictures, mostly of her beloved late husband Leroy. She loved reading and classical music. She loved birds, especially cardinals. She was quite a lady, never losing her temper and found the good in everything and any situation. She also had a great sense of humor.
Eva will be deeply missed by the Boyd family who became like her own family, especially after Leroy passed. The oldest daughter, Cindy (Boyd) Klonis, took a special interest in Eva. She moved in with her for a time and cared for her like her own mother. Eva also loved Cindy and treated her liker her own daughter. “Eva we will always carry your memory in our hearts.”
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 1:30 PM in Allegheny Union Cemetery, Alleghenyville. Chaplain Brad Haws will officiate. The Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Shillington is assisting the Remp family. www.kleefuneralhome.com
