Gary J. Glovenski, 79, of Cumru Twp. passed away May 9, 2021 at 9:15 PM in the Reading Hospital after a courageous 3-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was the husband of Helen M. (Foreman) Glovenski. They would have celebrated 58 years of marriage on May 26th. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Harry J. & Jessie C. (Maryniak) Glovenski.
Gary was a machinist / Tool & Dye maker starting at Glovenski Machine & Tool until the mid-1980’s and retiring, after 20 years, from CarTech in 2004. He was a graduate of Reading High School and received his master’s degree from Penn State. He enjoyed hunting, fishing & golfing and was a member of East Ends A.A., Mohnton Fish & Game, Adamstown Fish & Game, Sleepy Hollow A.C., Green Hills Sportsman Club and Reading Archery Club. Gary adored his grandchildren Darrielle & Nathan and was excited he was able to meet his twin great grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children – Kim wife of Michael Strouse, Temple, Ricky J. husband of Debra Glovenski, Cumru Twp., his brother – Ronald J. Glovenski companion of Melody Gift, Bernville, his grandchildren – Darrielle wife of Frank Santiago, Sinking Spring, Nathan J. Glovenski, Cumru Twp., and his twin great grandchildren – Alijah & Riley Santiago.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
