Pauline, Dan & Celia- Our heart felt sympathies to the Shuman family. I felt fortunate to have known him and to have had the opportunity to work with him for several years. His source of knowledge and serving nature was an asset to all who worked with him. His greatest joy was his family and our nation's history. As you know, he will be greatly missed. He will be to me. I will miss Bob at the First Defenders Civil War Roundtable. He had a great depth of knowledge, but was very humble and had a gentle wit that made me chuckle. Our loss and heaven's gain.

I am so sorry for the Shuman family and blessings to all of you during this time of losing Bob. I know all of you very well since we attended the same church years ago in Womelsdorf and little did I know Bob served in the same unit I did in the ARMY SECURITY AGENCY and we did the same job but it was years apart but we both served in Germany. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE BOB AND "ASA LIVES".
