Roberta “Bert” Harbach, 88, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Rittenhouse Village at Muhlenberg where she was a resident.
Born in Sayre, PA, Roberta was the daughter of the late Robert L. and L. Elizabeth (Hartung) Crimbring of Canton, PA. She was the wife of the late Florin “Mickey” Harbach who passed away December 12, 2009.
Roberta was employed as a school teacher for the Muhlenberg Township School District retiring in 1995 after 25 years. She was a 1951 graduate of Canton High School and received her BA from Albright College and her ME from Kutztown State College.
She is survived by her daughters Karen Grim of Richmond Township and Christine Harbach of Somerset, PA, her grandchildren – Glenn Grim, Jr. of Muhlenberg Township, Sarah Bitler Ludwig, wife of Joshua Ludwig of Buffalo, NY, and Eric Bitler, husband of Nicola Arton Bitler of Brooks, GA, and her great grandchildren – Megan, Sabrina, Nova Lee, and McKenna Grim and August and Evelyn Bitler. Roberta was predeceased by her daughter Cheryl (Harbach) Heberling, son Michael Harbach, grandsons Michael Grim and Brandon Harbach. Roberta was also predeceased by her brother Glenn Crimbring, and sister Anna Lea Crimbring.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Above., Shillington on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 10-11 AM with her memorial service starting at 11 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508, or the charity of your choice.
