Sidney LeVine

Sidney LeVine, 99, of Cumru Twp., passed away March 15, 2018 in the Reading Hospital where he was a patient. He was the husband of the late Peggy J. (Pyron) LeVine who passed away September 7, 2016. They celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary before her passing. Born in New Rochelle, Westchester County, NY, he was a son to of the late Edward & Theresa (Orishansky) LeVine. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of WW II. A 1936 graduate of New Rochelle H.S., he was a member of Immanuel U.C.C., Shillington and served as a Deacon on Consistory. Sid played the drums since his early teens, playing with the Wes Fisher Orchestra and in yacht clubs in West Chester County, NY. He later played with \"Country Classic\", a country band. An avid golfer, playing up to his 97th birthday, Sid has a Hole-in-One at Hole # 1 at the Manor Golf Course. Sid always watched his favorite team, the NY Yankees. He is survived by his daughter - Dona Lyn wife of Lewis S. Starr, Cumru Twp. and his grandson - Dustin Lewis Starr. He was predeceased by his sister - Vivian Chambers of NY. Funeral services from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Megan Huesgen, his pastor, will officiate.
