Obituary

Steven Lavern Gross, 49, of Rockland Township, passed away unexpectantly December 27, 2021, in his girlfriend’s Laureldale residence.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Rodney L. & Sandra Lee (Kingree) Gross. He was raised by the late Melba J. (Longenecker) Esser.

He was commercial diver for the Dock Builders Local Union 1456, New York, NY, and worked as a handyman for the New Jerusalem Inn. Steven was a 1990 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and the College of Oceaneering, Los Angeles Harbor, CA for Welder Technician Diver. A member of North End Rod & Gun Club, he loved his work, family, and friends, going to “Kiss” concerts, and playing the drums and bagpipes, which he could not play worth a darn.

He is survived by his former wife – Angela Mary Gross, Mohnton, his girlfriend – JoLynn (Hasker) Faller, Laureldale, his nephew – Steven A. Fisher, Jr., fiancé of Robin Biltheiser, Reading, and his great nephew – Steven N. Fisher. He was predeceased by his sister – Michele L. Ruth.
